NUMECA International Announces Technology Partnership with Von Karman Institute (VKI)

Charles Hirsch and Marc Tombroff, President and General Manager of NUMECA International announce the signature of a technology partnership with the Turbomachinery and Propulsion department of the von Karman Institute (VKI) (Director Jean Muylaert, Profs. Tom Verstraete and Tony Arts) for the development of a Total Integrated Design and Optimization Software for Turbomachinery. This new software product will aim at responding to a growing industrial demand for highly integrated tools, ranging from  rapid pre-design of efficient turbomachinery (axial and radial compressor & turbine, pumps, fans…), to full 3D multiphysics optimization. Directly oriented at the Turbomachinery designers, the software product will start from 1D design, to 2D and full 3D, including integrated optimization and stress analysis.
VKI innovative technology will be deeply integrated and industrialized within NUMECA FINE software environment.
